Every Week leading up to Forever Darling IV, we will feature a volunteer, sponsor, inkind sponsor and anyone and everyone that has helped make this event possible. 

In the spotlight this week….. our Lead Photographer for the event Valerie Williams. Not only has Valerie volunteered her time as a committee member she has volunteered her time to all 10 designers to shoot a professional headshot!

What is Denver Design Incubator??

It’s our Adorable Joan Rivers!

Get ready Designers, Vitaminwater will be working with Samuel from I Heart Denver to create a Red Carpet setting for Arabella to interview you about your collection. You will show one piece of your collection and talk to a super stylish adorable 9 year old Arabella. Researching 20s Hairstyles

Forever Darling will take you back in time with the roaring 20s. We are researching all of the beautiful hairstyles from then and recreating them for today. If I had long hair I would be wearing my hair like this everyday, these pictures are from the amazing product line Aquage.

Designer Auditions coming up!

To participate in Forever Darling IV this year local designers will need to audition by bringing 5 of their favorite outfits, a portfolio of sketches and designs to Fashion Denver on May 21st from 10-3PM. Local designers will audition with the following judges;

• Brandi Shigley Fashion Denver
• Georgia Benjou 5280 Magazine
• Matthew Brown Fancy Tiger
• Beth Bradley Sew News
• Tina Gill Worth While Style
• Holli Gibson Denver Design Incubator 

The judges will review your work and select you based on the following criteria

• Originality
• Creativity
• Technical Abilities
• quality and durability

FD4 Logo almost finalized!

We got super lucky and have an amazing Graphic Designer/artist, Michael Dee working on our logo. He has mixed a 20s vibe with the look of a Trapper Keeper from the 80s. It looks really cool, and I think it’s going to be awesome on our T-shirts, poster and gift bags! It also seems to be the trend right now so I’m excited. He’s been so kind to do all of our marketing material for free as an inkind sponsor. 

I’m working on the last portion of the logo, which will be a sketch of a 20s flapper girls face, it’s coming along and the logo should be completed by this week.
